Winery Tours

For a great day with friends, family or colleagues, you can’t go past a winery tour! Winery tours are hugely popular across Australia, and usually involve two or more people being chauffeur-driven from winery to winery within the wine region chosen.

Australia has several world-class wine regions, and wine tourism, or oenotourism, is big business. Most winery tours go for a full day (or half-day), and involve a trip to three or more wineries that are open to the public. Most tours involve wine-tasting at the cellar door, a wander through the vines and an alfresco lunch or antipasto. Some wineries allow you to observe the wine-making process, or receive a tutorial directly from the vigneron.

Wine-tasting and touring is a great social activity, and it is likely that you will meet people and perhaps even make some new friends. Winery tours give you a chance to relax and let the tour guide worry about where you need to be and when. While many tour operators drive a bus or mini-van from place to place, you can just as easily arrange a smaller, more intimate tour with friends, family or colleagues.
